Daily 4
Daily 4 is a fast-moving game with four chances to win every day. The game features a choice of play styles to keep things fresh – be strategic and choose how your numbers can make a winning match with the numbers drawn. Players have a shot at winning a top prize of $5,000 on a $1 Straight play, with the Fireball add-on providing even more ways to take home a prize.

How to Play
Select four numbers from 0 through 9, or to start playing even faster, mark the QP (Quick Pick) box on your playslip and the lottery computer will generate a random selection for you.
A base play costs $0.50, $1, or $5, and the amount you wager determines the prizes you could win.
There are seven play styles to choose from, with varying ways your four digits can make a winning match with the numbers drawn. Here’s a rundown of how you can win:
- Straight (Exact Order) – Your numbers match the winning numbers in the exact order they are drawn.
- Box (Any Order) – Your numbers match the winning numbers in any order.
- Straight/Box (Exact/Any Order) – A Straight and a Box on the same ticket; you can win a prize for matching the winning numbers in Exact Order or Any Order. Because you are technically buying an entry for two possible outcomes, a $0.50 base play costs $1.
- Combo – The easiest way to play all the Straight combinations on one ticket. A $0.50 base play costs $1.50 to $6; a $1 base play costs $3 to $12 depending on the numbers you choose.
- Front Pair – Choose two numbers and win if they match the first two numbers drawn in exact order.
- Mid Pair – Choose two numbers and win if they match the second and third numbers drawn in exact order.
- Back Pair – Choose two numbers and win if they match the third and fourth numbers drawn in exact order.
Use Multi-Draw if you love your numbers and want to play them for up to 24 consecutive drawings; just mark the number of draws on your playslip.
If you prefer to only play a specific draw time, simply mark Morning, Day, Evening or Night on your ticket and decide how many draws to enter.

Decide how you wish to play, what wager you want to bet and whether or not to play Fireball
Determine how many draws you want to enter and mark it on the 'Multi-Draw' section of your playslip - you can play up to 24 in a row!
When you're happy with your selections, pay for your entries - Don't forget to check the Results after the draws
Draw Schedule
Daily 4 drawings are held four times a day, six days a week, Monday through Saturday. Ticket sales pause during the draw breaks and resume after the draw. All times are listed in Central Time.
- Morning: 10:00 a.m. - Draw break from 9:50 a.m. to 10:03 a.m.
- Day: 12:27 p.m. - Draw break from 12:17 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Evening: 6:00 p.m. - Draw break from 5:50 p.m. to 6:03 p.m.
- Night: 10:12 p.m. - Draw break from 10:02 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
Fireball
The Fireball option gives you even more ways to win. The TX Lottery draws one Fireball number from 0 to 9 after each Daily 4 draw. Use the Fireball number to replace any of the Daily 4 numbers drawn for the chance to make a winning set. Fireball doubles the cost of your Daily 4 play. Visit the Fireball page for more information.

Straight Plays
Unlike other play types, the payouts for Straight plays stay the same in the base game regardless of which numbers you pick, as there is an equal chance of any single four-digit combination being drawn as the winner. This differs when it comes to the Fireball prizes, as the odds change depending on whether there are any repeating numbers in your chosen combination.

Box Plays
The odds of winning and the payouts for Box plays vary depending on the particular combination of numbers you pick. For example, a 24-way Box (a combination of four different numbers) is more likely to win than a 4-way Box (three numbers the same plus one other), so the payouts are scaled accordingly.

Straight/Box Plays
When you play a Straight/Box, you combine two different play types so you can win more than one prize with the same combination of numbers. If you match the winning numbers in the exact order you will get paid for hitting the Straight and the Box; match the winning numbers in any order and you will still win the Box part of the play.

Combo Plays
In a Combo, you play all the possible Straight combinations from the four numbers you select. As all 4-digit combinations have an equal chance of being drawn, the payouts are the same as if you played a standard Straight bet. However, the odds of winning are much improved because you cover multiple combinations.
